One of the most important Italian artists of the Arte Povera movement, Anselmo made his debut in the second half of the Sixties. Working in thematic cycles, he focused his attention on opposing phenomena and concepts (finite and infinite, visible and invisible, life and death) and on the relationship between man and nature. The limited-edition work Particolare bears a double date: 2019 and 1972, the year in which, for the first time, the word was made visible by the light of a projector, giving rise to one of the artist's most famous cycles.
