Piero Golia's print reproduces and covers with gold-leaf the work Untitled (My Gold is Yours), a concrete cube traversed by a gold vein, exhibited in the garden of the Italian Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale (2013). On that occasion, Golia had mixed one kilogram of gold sand within a 2.5 square meter concrete cube, inviting the public to interact with the work by removing fragments of it and thus compromising its own existence. A playful and provocative meditation on the value of the work of art and its possible disappearance, My Gold is Yours also gave birth to Gold and Concrete Cube at the Venice Biennale (2013), a miniature model of the same work.
