Designed in 1964 based on an idea by Gae Aulenti, the Giova lamp marks the debut of this designer and architect in the field of designer lighting. Giova is a hybrid between a vase and a table lamp: this valuable object is made of chrome-plated metal and blown glass, a processing method traditionally used by the manufacturing company FontanaArte. Available in the Treccani Emporium showcase in the medium size with a 32 cm diameter, this non-dimmable diffused light source is an authentic luminous sculpture. Featuring a blown bubble glass half-sphere on the top with irregular air bubbles, which is actually a flower vase, Giova stands out as a designer object for stylish interiors with a thoughtfully designed, contemporary feel.
