In the iconic Rimini series, designed by the famous painter, sculptor and ceramist Aldo Londi for Bitossi Ceramiche, we see how – together with the cat – the artist's favourite figure was the horse. One of his most famous creations is certainly that of the Horse Figure, in which the animal is represented decorated with precious bright blue crystalline coloured vestments. This has no shortage of typical decorations with manual stencil engraving of different motifs on fresh clay, which are typical of the whole Rimini series of details, with their exotically oriental character. The high Horse figure is also present in this smaller version in the prestigious Treccani Emporium showcase exemplifying high Italian craftsmanship, again handcrafted with white earth glue bonding, one of the processing techniques used by the Bitossi Manifattura for the production of its ceramics.
Technical characteristics:
- white clay glue bonding
- decoration performed with manual stencil engraving with different motifs on fresh clay, under brilliant blue crystalline
- dimensions 40 x 40 cm
