Barbara Carle's poetry is the protagonist of this splendid artist's book by the Atelier Alma Charta, presented in the I Quaderni della Notte series. Her poem is dedicated to eternity, in which days and nights are transformed into dust inside the hourglass of life. Composed on mobile type Garamond, Carle’s elegance also has a touch of irony, which she uses to add a pinch of salt to her writing, as if to demonstrate that we must accept the inevitability of the passing of time. The engraving shows beings composed of dust floating freely, evoking the fate of mortal things. To enrich the text, an etching on copper by André Beuchat, serves as an illustration in this precious artwork printed on Hahnemühle paper, with a print run of fifty numbered and signed copies.
