Sixteen hand-sewn pages, protected by a special cover covered in Bugra light grey cardboard: the Murs book is one of the most supreme artworks of the Alma Charta atelier. In this exquisitely refined volume, the printing works set in an old country farm in Fontanellato, in the province of Parma, further beautify the words of a poem by Constantine Cavafy in French, translated from Greek by Nicole Le Bris. The composition with Helvetica movable type adds to the unsurpassable quality of Hahnemühle paper, to which is added the superb quality of the special transparent coating paper. The engravings by André Beuchat, created with etching and drypoint, illuminate this small unique artwork in sixteen hand-sewn pages. Presented in a limited edition of fifty, plus ten additional copies, Murs bears the signature of André Beuchat in each copy.
