    The first volume guides the reader through the various stages of the process of European integration. It explains the historical evolution of the Union’s institutions, offering a detailed analysis of their mutual interaction and how they intersect with Member States, focusing on the most critical issues, evaluating the state of health of Europe and suggesting possible solutions.

    The second volume focuses on scientific research as the engine of supranational unity in Europe. It focuses on innovative processes today, from the development of scientific and communication networks to infrastructures, from industry to technological research, reflecting on ethics, bioethics and environmental and energy issues.

    The third volume explores the social aspects that have contributed to implementing this lofty project for peace which has lasted 60 years. European society is analysed from various points of view: from the dynamics of migratory flows to the labour market, from artistic expression to religious identities, without neglecting traditions, tourism, educational policies, family issues and generational differences.
