    Parma Ham PDO Tanara 800 is a prestigious product of the Tanara Emilio company. This high quality ham is produced in the small village of Moragnano, 800 meters above sea level, in the Parco dei Cento Laghi: here, in the heart of the Parma Apennines, it ages in the cellar for at least 28 months. The altitude significantly affects the peculiarities of this product and makes it one of a kind. The position, in fact, allows the ham factory to benefit from Marino, a wind that rises from the Tyrrhenian Sea and blows onto the Parma hills, favouring the natural maturing process. This product is made exclusively with two ingredients: pork leg and salt. During curing - to protect the part of the thigh not covered by the rind - a naturally gluten-free mixture of pork fat, pepper and rice flour is used. Parma Ham PDO Tanara 800 has a firm but soft texture at the same time, a sweet taste and the typical aroma. Each slice has a part of pinkish coloured muscle and a part of prized white fat. It is a versatile product that also lends itself to the preparation of numerous recipes.
