TRECCANI ARTEWhat to say what not to say, Maurizio Nannucci Alfabeto Treccani
Nannucci's work further elaborates on his long tradition of editions and multiples dedicated to exploring issues related to language, words and their resemanticization. Nannucci's phrases – printed on various supports or modeled with neon lights – investigate in a synthetic and evocative manner the dialectic between signifier and significant, sign and image, occupying the exhibition and urban space with light and color. In particular, through the reiteration of affirmative and negative phrases, Nannucci poses a question with no answer engaging the spectator in a potentially unended mental exercise, oscillating between two opposing poles.
