After the facsimile edition of the Latin Barberinian code 5093, published to celebrate the fifth centenary of the writing of The Prince, Treccani includes another prestigious work in its "Ursa Major" series: Machiavelli. Enciclopaedia machiavelliana.
This three-volume work presents a description of every aspect related to the figure of Niccolò Machiavelli, with contributions by one hundred and eighty Italian and international authors. The minor works are treated as well as the great ones, and ample space is given to the great authors of classicism with specific entries. The protagonists of the Florentine and Italian culture of the period are also treated, as are the minor personalities of the Florentine chancellery.
The third volume includes all the most important works of Machiavelli (The Prince, Discourses on Titus Livy, The Art of War, Florentine Stories, Mandragola, Clizia) and the two most significant correspondences of the Florentine Secretary: with Francesco Vettori and Francesco Guicciardini.
The edition is accompanied by the anastatic reprint of De Principatibus in the version of the Latin Barberinian code 5093, housed in the Vatican Apostolic Library.
