The Atlas Qualivita 2022 is the first and only European volume dedicated to Italian PDO, PGI and TSG agri-food and wine products, flavored wines and Italian GI spirits. For the first time in its century-old history, Treccani welcomes the culture of Geographical Indications and typical Italian products within the catalog of its works.
The Atlas aims to describe in a certified, punctual and updated way a very varied richness, thanks to 876 product sheets, divided into three sections: agri-food products (315 sheets), wine products (526 sheets), aromatized wines (1 card) and spirits (34 cards, created in collaboration with Assodistil). Each of the Italian excellences protected as a Geographical Indication is told through information on the processing method, history, regulations, nutritional and organoleptic characteristics of the products themselves. A renewed knowledge tool intended for consumers who are aware and attentive to the concepts of authenticity and origin.
The Atlas Qualivita 2022, published by the Institute of the Italian Encyclopedia, was created by the Qualivita Foundation, in collaboration with OriGIn Italia, to affirm the role of quality Italian supply chains as an element of national culture, alongside an inestimable economic value for the Village.
