    Artist poster

    For the Utopia project, Piero Golia, a multimedia artist who inspires awe by subverting the rules, has chosen the word assenza (i.e. absence).
    In this composition, the great absentee is clearly Napoleon Bonaparte, famously depicted by Jacques-Louis David between 1800 and 1803. The meaning of this word (“Being absent from a place where one should be or is usually found”) is restored by this piece inspired by Neo-Dada art;
    however, the figure of the French emperor, portrayed on horseback in a glorious pose reminiscent of the classical statues, is completely wiped away.

    2022, Offset printing on 170 gr paper
    50 x 70 cm,
    100 pieces, each piece is numbered and signed by the artist.
    The work is sold unframed.
