For the Utopia project, Rä di Martino, whose artistic works range from videos to photography, has chosen a key word in the fields of photography and cinematography. The image shown here is that of a crack breaking a filter (i.e. filtro in Italian), an essential tool used for adjusting exposure and finding the right balance of light and shadow. A sketched landscape emerges from the tear, creating an atmosphere that is a mix of reality and fiction.
