Who was Francesca Morvillo? This multi-voiced work, which reconstructs different phases and moments in her life, throws a new and unprecedented light on this jurist, one of the first Sicilian female magistrates, on her culture, on her deep and refined knowledge of law and criminal procedure, but also on his great humanity and generosity, on his gentle confidentiality, on the strength of his personality which made him a true model of judge for the young men and women who were setting out at that time and who are now entering the profession of magistrate.
Thanks to the words of friends and colleagues, the book traces the life of Francesca from the years of school and university to the most significant periods in the judiciary, in the beloved role of juvenile magistrate and in that of judge at the Court of Appeal of Palermo , until the last days that saw her engaged as a member of the commission for examinations as a magistrate and the tragedy of 23 May 1992. Once again next to Giovanni Falcone, the man she loved so much, loved in return, and who proudly appreciated her, among the many qualities, the great professional value.
