Since the year of its foundation in 1921, Bitossi Ceramiche has been synonymous with quality, tradition, innovation, and rigorously Made in Italy high craftsmanship. All the creations forged in the historic company in Montelupo Fiorentino, near Florence, were founded on continuous attention to the refinement of the final product, thanks to the inheritance of knowledge acquired from a family of painters, sculptors, but above all potters. The Lava vase series is no exception: hand turned in two kinds of red clay, with a special horizontal decoration with coloured faces, this vase immediately catches the attention for its bright colours, including apple green, cornflower blue and lava black, exactly as its name suggests. Produced for the first time by Aldo Londi in 1967, the Lava series vase is presented today in an 2017 reissue, created from the Historical Archive of the painter, sculptor and ceramist who created the work.
