This book bears witness to and concludes Marcello Maloberti’s project on Maria Lai named ‘Cuore mio’, a site-specific installation and performance which, in 2019, involved the entire community of Ulassai and was produced by the Fondazione di Sardegna to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of this Sardinian artist. The book contains a series of photos taken during each stage of the project, as well as texts by Bartolomeo Pietromarchi and Davide Mariani – along with an interview that Marcello Maloberti gave to Marina Pugliese and Andrea Lissoni about his artistic career – in which they go through and explain the various stages of the project, which began at the MAXXI in Rome and ended at the Ulassai Art Station in Sardinia.
