The quarterly magazine ‘Enciclopedia Italiana’ is a publishing project through which Treccani invites readers to reflect upon and explore the world of art and culture. The magazine reflects the natural vocation of the Institute of the Italian Encyclopaedia, combining authoritative contributions with the precious quality of its iconographic content. Each issue presents various Treccani products, but also examines the Italian and international cultural scene through in-depth studies of different kinds, with thematic sections dedicated to art, literature and the safeguarding of the Italian language, along with humanistic and scientific culture, and photography. The mission of this magazine is to serve as a tool with which to interpret and investigate the cultural reality in which we live, driven by our conviction that books and magazines can play a key role in a country’s cultural and civil growth. As the title of the magazine suggests, encyclopaedic knowledge can be made available to anyone, and actually ought to continue providing everyone with the tools they need to orient themselves, studying and receiving information in a rigorous and thorough manner.
